Alyssa Locke
Hi, I am Alyssa. I am the Salon Manager , a Master Stylist and Colorist and have over 20 years experience in the beauty industry. I love keeping up with the changing trends so I can give each client a personalized service. I have been with SHD for 7 years and love every minute of my job. After graduating from Chic University, I have continued my Advanced Education by attending the TIGI Academy, Redken Exchange, Vidal Sasson Academy, and symposiums and classes. It is my honor to be chosen as your personal hairdresser. I am pleased to put my skills to work on both men and women, and also children of all ages. I consider my clients part of my extended family and know many of them very well, and have done their hair for well over 10 years. I strive to build relationships with my clients so they can feel comfortable talking to me. Those who know me know I love to laugh and have fun. I also do all the spa services we offer, including manicures, shellacs, pedicures, waxing, and facials. Another fun thing I enjoy is to transform your look with human hair extensions. Whether you need fullness or length in your hair I can create a custom look for you in about in hour.
Some fun facts about me are: I love health and fitness, wine tasting, cooking, music, hanging out with friends and family, gardening and I love riding my Harley Davidson every chance I get.

Melissa Dredge
After graduating from Excel Academies of Cosmetology in 2008, i started my career here at Serendipity. During that time i was able to further my education in the salon world. It is important to me and SHD to stay up-to- date on the latest current trends in cuts, colors, & styles. My passion and talent is in creating amazing updo's for you on your special day, whether it be for a wedding, prom, graduation, or anniversary. I absolutely love making people feel beautiful! I am a level 2 stylist and have a good variety of hours that I am here.
My Hours Are:
Wednesday 3 pm - 8 pm (every other)
Friday 11 am - 5 pm
Saturday 9 am - 3pm

Simone Kapala
Hello! I'm Simone Kapala, a Level 3 Stylist. I had the pleasure of becoming a SHD team member 7 years ago and have loved it from day one. After being in the salon atmosphere for a year I knew this is where I wanted to be. I thrive off the positive energy from both our stylists and clients. Nothing is better than watching a guest leave feeling more confident. Styling hair, creating a custom color, and connecting with clients is what excites me as a stylist. I want to make your time in my chair as enjoyable as possible so you can relax, de-stress, and enjoy time for yourself. I can recommend home styling tips along with product knowledge to keep your color and hair looking beautiful and healthy. I also offer men's and children's haircuts as well as nail services and facial waxing. A little bit about myself: I am originally from the north eastern part of Michigan and moved to Grand Rapids 11 years ago. While I miss the nature and tranquility of northern Michigan, I love all the city has to offer. If I am not playing with my dog Louie, I am spending my free time visiting local restaurants, breweries, or concert venues. I am excited to have you in my chair and build a new relationship with you!
Holly baker
My name is Holly Baker and I’ve been a professional hairstylist since 2009. Always knowing that I wanted to help others feel good about themselves has inspired me to educate myself in every aspect of the industry. Creative foil work and balayage are some of my favorite services and I enjoy doing all types of haircutting. I am certified in skin care which has advance my skills in facial waxing. I have been trained in advanced color theory with Lanza, Matrix, and Framesi. I LOVE drinking coffee and taking road trips on my off time. I strive to make each one of my clients feel special every time they sit in my chair.

Alessia Uccello
Hello! My name is Alessia Uccello I am a Douglas J graduate. While I was completing the program to get my certificate in Cosmetology I was assisting under Master Stylist Rosie Espinoza and working as the salon coordinator. My career focus and passion is precision hair cutting on men and women. I am a detail orientated individual with a stride for fashion and style. I have recently attended Celebrity Stylist Eric "Pacino" barber tour and I have learned some cutting edge mens techniques that Pacino implements on his clients such as Jay-Z, Ludacris & Kevin Hart. I'm also skilled in different coloring techniques. Two techniques in particular, balayage highlights and Ombre. I'm excited and can not wait to create your new look!

Originally from Petoskey, I came to Grand Rapids with a dream and a vision for beauty. As a Douglas J graduate, I strive to ensure that every guest in my chair leaves looking and feeling fabulous! I am trained in body waxing and airbrush make-up. I am continuing my education through advanced classes and participating in local hair competitions.
