I am the Salon Owner as well as a Level 4 Master Stylist & Colorist with over 19 years of experience. I'm passionate about many aspects of this profession, what I enjoy the most is, “ the creativity, personal interaction with my clients, and an environment that encourages personal growth.” I enjoy managing a team that bounces ideas off of each other, shares techniques and asks for each other's thoughts and opinions. I think the similar training that we share and our thoughts on beautiful, healthy hair allows us to create a unique, yet a professional environment. Clients can walk in our salon feeling at ease and comfortable but most importantly, confident with their hairdresser. Our beautiful salon personifies a balanced team and continues to evolve.

Monday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Tuesday: 12:00pm – 7:00pm
Wednesday: 1:00pm – 8:00pm

Stepheni Marsman - Salon Manager/Level 3 Stylist
Originally from Petoskey, I came to Grand Rapids with a dream and a vision for beauty. As a Douglas J graduate, I strive to ensure that every guest in my chair leaves looking and feeling fabulous! I am trained in body waxing, airbrush make-up and specialize in short hair. I value education and continue taking any advanced classes I can get my hands on.
Outside of work you can find me Netflix & chillin’ at home with my husband and our two cats, Riesling & Gouda. Beef jerky is my love language and I quote movies/tv shows in my daily conversations.

After graduating from Excel Academies of Cosmetology in 2008, i started my career here at Serendipity. During that time i was able to further my education in the salon world. It is important to me and SHD to stay up-to- date on the latest current trends in cuts, colors, & styles. My passion and talent is in creating amazing updo's for you on your special day, whether it be for a wedding, prom, graduation, or anniversary. I absolutely love making people feel beautiful! I am a level 2 stylist and have a good variety of hours that I am here.

Simone Kapala - Level 3 Stylist
Hello! I'm Simone Kapala, a Level 3 Stylist. I had the pleasure of becoming a SHD team member 7 years ago and have loved it from day one. After being in the salon atmosphere for a year I knew this is where I wanted to be. I thrive off the positive energy from both our stylists and clients. Nothing is better than watching a guest leave feeling more confident. Styling hair, creating a custom color, and connecting with clients is what excites me as a stylist. I want to make your time in my chair as enjoyable as possible so you can relax, de-stress, and enjoy time for yourself. I can recommend home styling tips along with product knowledge to keep your color and hair looking beautiful and healthy. I also offer men's and children's haircuts as well as nail services and facial waxing. A little bit about myself: I am originally from the north eastern part of Michigan and moved to Grand Rapids 11 years ago. While I miss the nature and tranquility of northern Michigan, I love all the city has to offer. If I am not playing with my dog Louie, I am spending my free time visiting local restaurants, breweries, or concert venues. I am excited to have you in my chair and build a new relationship with you!

My name is Holly Baker and I’ve been a professional hairstylist since 2009. Always knowing that I wanted to help others feel good about themselves has inspired me to educate myself in every aspect of the industry. Creative foil work and balayage are some of my favorite services and I enjoy doing all types of haircutting. I am certified in skin care which has advance my skills in facial waxing. I have been trained in advanced color theory with Lanza, Matrix, and Framesi. I LOVE drinking coffee and taking road trips on my off time. I strive to make each one of my clients feel special every time they sit in my chair.
